Casa Casual is creative vision of designer Gretchen Rivera, whose work seamlessly blends her rich Puerto Rican roots, the clean lines of mid-century modernism, and a genuine passion for historical context that is thoughtfully layered into every project she undertakes. With a background in art history, graphic design, and interior architecture, Gretchen creates cohesive branding and decor that live across both space and brand.
After years of designing acclaimed interiors for boutique restaurants and residences in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and launching her online vintage shop, she brought her interior design aesthetics to Washington, DC. Today, Casa Casual operates as a boutique interior design studio and curated collection hub, serving clients who value storytelling through design.
From commercial space branding to narrative-driven interiors, Gretchen’s work has been featured in publications such as El Nuevo Día, Area Magazine, and Modo de Vida.
